This cake was invented in 1832 for a 16 years-old apprentice in his second school year Franz Sacher. The recipe was a succes and after that it was in great demand. Today is sold in many countries. The best place to have it is at The cafe Sacher at the Sacher Hotel in Vienna considered as the home of this famous cake.
The result we had was a fluffy and soft chocolate cake with a delicate apricot taste and a rich chocolate flavor.
